Information for other Iveco models: Information on the many other Iveco Motors Marine diesel engines can be obtained from two sources. First, data sheets, small gif images, larger jpg images, and drawings and installation manuals, etc for many models not yet stocked here in the USA -- but available to our export customers -- are here on our web site and can be downloaded from our Iveco Marine Engine Data Index.
We have loaded most, but not all, of the marine engine data from the marine section of the Iveco Motors web site (see below) into this "Iveco Marine" index folder. [Note: You will need to use your "back" button to return to the index after viewing or downloading a file or image].
Second, a summary of current Iveco marine diesel engine models, with up-to-date data sheets, drawings, and photos is also available in the marine section of the main Iveco Motors web site.
VECTOR V-8: 1200 HP. The gif image here -- which is linked to a larger jpg photo -- shows the new 20 liter VECTOR Iveco V-8 marine diesel engine. Available now for export applications, this engine will be introduced here in the US in late 2005. The V08 ENT M12 marine diesel is very compact, exceptionally robust, features a common rail fuel injection system with total electronic control, and has a maximum rating of 1200 hp at 2300 rpm.
Planned, but still in engineering development, are marine versions of the V-12 30 liter and V-16 40 liter VECTORengines, with hp ratings in excess of 2100 hp.
SAMPLE IVECO MARINE APPLICATION PHOTOS -- SEAHORSE MARINE
Just for fun, inserted here are several application pictures from Seahorse Marine, one of our Iveco/FPT marine OEMs. Seahorse Marine uses the Iveco N45 MNA M10, the N67 MNA M15, and the N67 MNT M28 in various of their very nice "Diesel Duck" designs. The picture at the left shows one of the Seahorse N45 MNA M10 powered "Coots" on the Moscow River -- this 35 foot boat was in the September 2007 Moscow Boat Show -- see http://www.mibs-expo.ru/eng/ .
The picture at the right shows one of the very first 46 foot Seahorse Diesel Duck 642s underway at sea. The term Diesel Duck referes to a family of classic trawler hull designs from George Buehler Yacht Design, with inspiration from decades of very seaworthy and fuel efficient Pacific Northwest salmon trollers. George's web site has lots more Seahorse pictures, and also some very nice pictures of the Seahorse Yachts production facility in Zhuhai, China. [Note: Each small picture here is linked to a larger image].
In August 2007, another Seahorse "Diesel Duck 642," The "Peking," took "Best of Show" honors at the Trawler Fest Boat Show at Mystic, CT. Similar Seahorse Diesel Ducks will be displayed at other Trawler Fest boat shows later this year and in early 2008.
Although we hate to to mention it, Seahorse Marine does occasionally use other engines from other folks. On the other hand, one of the owners of Powertech Engines Inc.has sold engines to one of the owners of Seahorse Marine since the founding of Seahorse Yachts in 1981 -- and we can attest that Seahorse builds very nice vessels with "world-cruise" capabilities.Notice: Although the the information presented here has been taken from sources generally believed to be accurate, please be advised that all of the data, drawings, specifications, etc. presented or linked here are subject to change-without-notice, and that Powertech Engines Inc., Iveco SpA, Seahorse Marine, George Buehler Yacht Design, and Iveco Motors of North America Inc. and Fiat Powertrain Technologies assume NO RESPONSIBILITY WHAT-SO-EVER for its accuracy.
